WELLGROOMED BOARDING POLICIES

Standard Check-In:

  • Standard check-in begins at 12:00 noon.
  • Guests may check in prior to 12 noon by paying a $50.00 early check-in fee per dog.
  • First-time visitors are requested to arrive no later than 2 p.m., and all other guests should arrive at least one hour before our lobby closes.

Standard Check-Out:

  • Standard check-out is by 12:00 noon.
  • Guests may check out after 12:00 noon by paying a late check-out fee equal to the overnight room rate per dog.
  • Complimentary extended check-out until 4 p.m. is provided for dogs getting grooming services on the day of check-out.

Personal Items:

  • If you prefer to bring your dog's own bedding, we accept one small blanket or towel per dog. Large items and stuffed bedding cannot be accepted.
  • Each dog may also bring two toys from home. Please be aware that items may be lost or damaged due to our daily cleaning procedure.
  • We cannot be responsible for items left with us.

Feeding:

  • We offer our guests premium Pro Plan dog kibble at no additional charge.
  • We feed Yummy Chicken and Rice flavor available in puppy, adult, and small breed formulas.
  • This is well tolerated and easy on the digestive system for most dogs.

Vaccinations:

  • Wellgroomed requires a vaccination record or an invoice from a licensed veterinarian documenting current vaccinations.
  • Vaccinations should be administered at least 10 days prior to arrival.
  • Required vaccinations include:
    • Rabies,
    • Distemper/Parvovirus (DHLP)
    • Bordetella vaccine (updated every six months)
  • All dogs must be in good general health, and those exposed to a contagious virus must wait at least 30 days and obtain clearance from their veterinarian before using our services.
  • Our fee for obtaining vaccinations for your dog is $60.00, the veterinarian?s fee, plus a 3% service fee.

Flea and Tick Prevention:

  • All dogs must be treated with an oral or topical flea and tick prevention; collars cannot be accepted.
  • If fleas or ticks are found on a dog, they will be bathed and treated immediately at the owner's expense.

Behavior and Aggression:

  • Dogs showing signs of severe aggression or separation anxiety may not be accepted for boarding.
  • A daily handling fee of $30.00 may be charged for difficult-to-manage dogs.
  • We reserve the right to decline service to any dog or individual.
  • In the case that a dog exhibits destructive or disruptive behaviors we reserve the right to reassign them to a different room.
  • Certain dogs may react differently to new environments and separation from their parents. In non-emergency situations (e.g. Diarrhea, loss of appetite) we will contact you to discuss the best course of action for your dog.

Check-In and Business Hours:

  • Our business is open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., closed on Sundays.
  • Courtesy boarding pick-up is available from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sundays.

Cancellation Policy:

  • A credit card must be placed on file, and a $100.00 deposit is required for boarding reservations per room.
  • The deposit is applied to the final bill upon check-out.
  • The deposit will be forfeited for no-shows, late cancellations, or late reservation changes.
  • For holidays and certain peak seasons, a deposit refund of 80% or full account credit is provided for cancellations or reservation changes made seven days or more from the arrival date.
  • A three-night minimum stay is required for holidays and certain peak season dates.

Rates:

  • The standard rate for boarding is $65.00 for the first pet, with the second pet at $45.00.
  • Private suites with webcams are $92.50 for the first pet and $45.00 for the second pet.
  • Notify us if dogs rooming together do not share well during meals and treats.

Holidays and Peak Seasons:

  • March 7-19, 2024 (Spring)
  • May 24-September 4, 2024 (Summer)
  • November 21-December 3, 2024 (Thanksgiving)
  • December 13, 2024-January 7, 2025 (Christmas and New Years)
  • All rates and services are subject to availability and change.

Damages:

  • Out-of-the-ordinary damage incurred during a guest's stay is the responsibility of the owner.
  • Damages are limited to the cost of materials and a $50.00 labor cost.

Abandoned Dog:

  • Wellgroomed will comply with Chapter 70 of the Texas State Property Code.
  • Wellgroomed reserves the right to refuse services based on any dog's temperament or health.

WELLGROOMED GROOMING POLICIES

Drop-off Times:

  • We request that you drop your dog off between 7:30 a.m and 9:30 a.m.
  • Early drop-offs may incur an additional charge unless special arrangements are made.

Vaccinations:

  • All dogs must be current on the following vaccinations:
    • Rabies
    • Distemper
    • Parvovirus
    • DHLP
    • Bordetella
  • Dogs must be in good general health.
  • Any dog known to have been exposed to a contagious virus must wait at least 30 days and have clearance from their veterinarian before visiting Wellgroom Pet Spa and Retreat.

Safety and Refusal of Services:

  • If your dog becomes too stressed or dangerous to groom, we reserve the right to refuse grooming services, stop services, or cancel services at any time before, during, or after services begin.
  • Failure to disclose that your dog is a known biter or is dangerous may cause serious harm to our staff or other dogs.
  • Dogs known to be biters or aggressive must be handled differently, and the owner will be responsible for all medical expenses incurred by our staff due to any bites, harm, or damage caused by the dog(s).

Muzzling:

  • Some dogs may require muzzling during all or parts of the grooming process. Muzzling is done only when necessary to ensure the safety of both the dog and the groomer.

Pick-up and Emergency Medical Attention:

  • If you need to have a friend or relative pick up your dog, please notify the front desk or a staff member in advance.
  • In case your dog requires emergency medical attention while in our care, we will contact you or your emergency contact to discuss the best course of action.
  • If the nature of your dog's illness requires a visit to the veterinarian, we reserve the right to utilize a veterinarian of our choice.
  • Our fee for transporting your dog to and from the veterinarian during business hours is $70 plus wait time, if any.

Grooming Service Prices:

  • Grooming prices for specialty services or under alternate circumstances are determined through consultation.
    • Prices may vary based on factors such as
      • Breed
      • Size
      • Coat condition
      • Cooperation during grooming
      • Special requests
  • Our groomers work on a commission basis

Rush Job:

  • We offer a rush job for an additional fee:
    • Small dogs: $30
    • Medium dogs: $50
    • Large dogs: $70
  • Please note that this service is not available during holidays and peak seasons.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Please call 48 hours in advance to inform us if your dog cannot attend their scheduled appointment. A no-call or no-show will result in additional charges on your next appointment.
    • Small dogs: $60
    • Medium dogs: $85
    • Large dogs: $100
